Our story
It started with one surgeon’s holiday
In 1985, Dr. Michael spent his summer holiday operating for free at a small coastal clinic. The waiting list was so long that he came back the next year with three friends, and the year after with eleven.
Today our volunteer teams run surgical programs and train local doctors and nurses, so the work keeps going after we leave. We do it because Jesus healed the sick and noticed the people everyone else overlooked.
